We were thrilled to secure this quality colt by Queensland sire BETTER THAN READY at the Karaka Yearling Sale, a colt who impressed us both on type and pedigree.

He’s a lovely, athletic individual with a deep girth, strong frame and a smooth, free action — the kind of colt that’s easy to like and even easier to imagine progressing into a serious racehorse.

By BETTER THAN READY, a proven producer of tough, competitive winners, this colt brings added appeal with his QTIS fully paid back home in Australia, opening the door to valuable bonus opportunities. He is also Karaka Millions eligible as a two-year-old next year and again as a three-year-old, giving owners multiple chances to race for strong prize money.

He’s out of a Churchill mare from Ireland, adding depth and class to the pedigree, and is closely related to SPICY MARG, a Listed-winning two-year-old at Newmarket. The strength of the family is clear, with the second dam producing three individual two-year-old winners, including Main Desire, Spicy Marg and Jungle Cove.

Adding further confidence, the vendors Cambridge Stud have elected to retain 20% of the colt, a strong endorsement of both the individual and the pedigree.
