WHAT WE’RE SEEING SO FAR
The Tiger Of Malay x Distraught filly has now completed her first preparation with us at the Gold Coast and will head to Shailer Farm for a well-earned spell.
She has continued to impress throughout her education with her professionalism, natural athleticism and willingness to learn. She has shown plenty of ability in her early work and has taken each stage of her preparation in her stride, building a strong foundation for her racing career.
Her preparation concluded with an 850-metre jump-out on the B Grass at the Gold Coast. While a shorter 600-metre heat would have been preferable at this stage, the opportunity provided another valuable educational experience for the filly.
She began particularly well before being eased back behind the leaders, where she travelled nicely throughout. Understandably, she tired over the concluding stages, having been asked to stretch out over further than ideal at this point in her preparation. Importantly, the purpose of the jump-out was education rather than performance, and she had already been scheduled for a spell prior to the heat becoming available.
She will now enjoy a well-earned break at Shailer Farm, where she can strengthen and mature physically and mentally before returning to work. We believe she'll return next preparation as a more furnished filly and look forward to seeing her take the next step towards the races.
