WHAT WE’RE SEEING SO FAR
Crescendoed has now had her first official trial at Beaudesert over 900 metres and gave us plenty to like on the day.
A little slow into stride, she recovered quickly to settle fourth, one off the fence, where she travelled beautifully throughout. She angled into clear running approaching the home corner before working strongly to the line under no pressure, finishing fourth and beaten only around half a length.
For her first experience at the trials, she handled herself extremely well and, if anything, exceeded our expectations. She showed a lovely ability to travel through the trial, remained relaxed and finished strongly without being fully tested.
It was an encouraging first step in her education and gave us plenty to work with moving forward. Most importantly, she came through the experience well and has shown that she has the right attitude to continue progressing through her preparation.
Provided she pulls up well, she'll head to the Gold Coast for her second trial on the 6th before we make further plans towards her first start. We're very happy with the way she's progressing and are looking forward to seeing her continue to develop.
TRAINER INSIGHT
"I'm really happy with her. She's a lovely young horse and she's going through the grades really nicely. She trialled really well this morning — she jumped well, was able to sit just in behind the speed and was very tractable and professional. She was nice and sharp on the bridle, did everything right and was really strong through the line. We're very pleased with what we've seen from her today. She'll stay in work, head to the next set of trials at the Gold Coast on the 6th and, hopefully, we'll see her head to a nice early two-year-old race before Christmas."
