Mister Bianco Scores Gritty Gold Coast Victory
Mister Bianco showed plenty of grit to score a hard-fought win at the Gold Coast, delivering another rewarding result for a team of long-term owners with the stable.
With apprentice Jai Williams aboard, whose claim reduced the gelding’s weight to 59kg, Mister Bianco jumped well from barrier five but was caught three-wide early in the run over the 1200 metres. Rather than restrain, Williams made the call to roll forward, allowing Mister Bianco to find his stride and settle into the race.
Second up for the preparation, Mister Bianco dug deep when it mattered most to just hold on and land the win.
After the race, Williams admitted the early stages weren’t ideal, but the decision to push on proved the right one. It was a tough, honest performance from Mister Bianco and a well-earned victory for his connections, with further improvement expected as the preparation continues.
It was great to have connections on course to celebrate Mister Bianco's win with us!
