Il Fratello Impresses On Debut

Il Fratello made the perfect start to his racing career, scoring an impressive debut victory at Beaudesert over 1200 metres.

Ridden by Dylan Turner, Il Fratello showed plenty of natural ability despite a slightly tardy start from the barriers. He quickly mustered to find a comfortable position in running, settling nicely on the back of the main danger while travelling strongly through the middle stages of the race.

Turner allowed Il Fratello to stride forward three-wide approaching the turn, and the response was immediate. The gelding quickened sharply, putting the race to bed in a matter of strides and going on to score in classy fashion.

As with any horse making their debut, Il Fratello will take plenty of benefit from the experience as he continues to improve and mature. It was a very encouraging first outing and an exciting foundation to build on as his racing career progresses.
