MISTER Bianco Salutes on Pink Ribbon Raceday

There was no better way for Mister Bianco to begin his new chapter than with a victory on Pink Ribbon Raceday at the Gold Coast Turf Club.

Making his first start for a new ownership group, Mister Bianco produced a determined performance over 1200 metres under senior jockey Andrew Mallyon, securing a memorable win on a very special raceday.

It was an honour for the Shailer Racing team to salute in the Pink Ribbon silks, on a raceday dedicated to raising vital funds for breast cancer research through the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

For Mister Bianco's new owners, it was an even more special occasion - getting the win at his first start for the group and providing the perfect introduction to their ownership journey with the gelding.

As anticipated in the pre-race plan, the race looked to suit Mr Bianco nicely on paper, and thankfully it unfolded exactly as hoped.

Andrew was able to settle him comfortably behind a reasonable tempo through the early and middle stages, conserving his energy before the race developed into a short sprint home - a scenario that plays strongly to Mister Bianco's strengths.

When asked for his effort upon straightening, Mister Bianco responded with plenty of determination. He knuckled down in the closing stages and fought all the way to the line, getting his nose down at exactly the right moment to secure a terrific victory.

It was a performance full of courage and an incredibly rewarding result for everyone involved, particularly given it came at his first start for his new connections.

Congratulations to the new ownership group on a fantastic result and to everyone who has played a part in getting Mister Bianco to the races. We are delighted to have delivered a winner at his first start together and hope this is the beginning of a very successful partnership.
