Statement Of Truth produced a determined front-running performance to return to the winner's stall with an impressive victory in the Class 2 Handicap at Beaudesert under Danny Peisley.

After an encouraging placing at his previous start, the talented three-year-old went one better this time around, delivering a well-deserved win and continuing his progression this preparation.

With the race lacking obvious speed, the team elected to take bad luck out of the equation and instructed Danny to press forward from the barriers. Danny executed the plan to perfection, allowing the gelding to find a comfortable rhythm through the early and middle stages. Although he came under pressure approaching the home turn, Statement Of Truth responded strongly, digging deep to maintain a solid gallop all the way to the line.

Despite having rivals challenge around the bend, he always looked to have the race under control and comfortably held them at bay to score by just over a length.

The victory was a deserved reward for a horse that has been racing consistently and should provide him with a valuable confidence boost heading into the remainder of his campaign.
